A solo album by DOLPHINS INTO THE FUTURE — aka Lieven Martens Moana — built entirely from the source material of Finis Africae's tropical-rainforest Balearic masterpiece "AMAZONIA." Exotic yet never resort-like, this is deep sound. A wonderful sonic world. Take your time with it!
A collaborative project between LIEVEN MARTENS MOANA, whose Japan visit is right around the corner, and EM RECORDS. A new album on which Lieven constructed his sounds using an entire FINIS AFRICAE album as source material. This eagerly awaited record is finally out. Working from field recordings, the album's source material and electronics, and deploying both tape/analog techniques and digital processes, he builds a meticulous, richly scenic world of sound — the more you listen, the deeper you're drawn into its mysterious charm. Definitely experience it on headphones or in a good listening environment. Each track is dedicated to someone: besides Finis Africae and his son, there are pieces for Toru Takemitsu, Joji Yuasa, and the pioneer of American contemporary music, Charles Ives.
