The only album by the legendary pianist Tenório Júnior, who died mysteriously at the age of 34—reportedly assassinated by the military junta during a tour of Argentina with TOQUINHO and VINICIUS DE MORAES. Recorded with Milton Banana on drums, Rubens Bassini on percussion, Paulo Moura on saxophone, and a full horn and string section, this is a breathtaking Brazilian jazz album, highlighted by “Nebulosa”—a track that would later be sampled and inspire new classics.
