CONRAD STANDISH isn't well known in Japan, but he was the singer/bassist of DEVASTATIONS, a charismatic Melbourne indie/art-rock band. Abstract, dubby, stoned, psychedelic space. A distinctive personality. A soul-music world with everything material stripped away. A classic is born, connecting the lineage of the old CAFE DEL MAR/Balearic chill-out to contemporary new age.
