REN SCHOFIELD aka CONTAINER is back once again on 〈SPECTRUM SPOOLS〉. This is the fourth installment of the now-familiar "LP" series! The CONTAINER sound delivers on every expectation!!
After the first "LP" dropped on 〈SPECTRUM SPOOLS〉 in 2011 and caused a stir, he went on to release on 〈MORPHINE RECORDS〉, 〈LIBERATION TECHNOLOGIES〉, 〈DIAGONAL〉 and more, and alongside PETE SWANSON and RUSSELL HASWELL he feels like one of the artists who carved out a left-field techno path bridging noise and the underground with techno. That unmistakably CONTAINER sound — compressed and distorted through overdriven input — has had its harsh, superfluous high frequencies shaved off, while the heat and excitement of hearing him live remain fully intact.
