With releases on 〈COLLECT-CALL〉 and 〈RUBADUB〉, plus founding the Tallinn nightclub LEKKER, ROBERT NIKOLAJEV is a key figure in the Estonian underground! "12 Am Monday" (sample1) loops synthesizers around sampled phone-call conversation. "Plasticine" (sample2), with its spare drum machine and unfolding languid melody, and "Left" (sample3), where wistful synths pierce through slow beats and electronic bass, both carry a proto sound that recalls the dawn of electronic music.
