AASTHMA is the project launched by PEDER MANNERFELT — who, after working as The Subliminal Kid, drew attention with releases starting on 〈WE CAN ELUDE CONTROL〉 and 〈DIGITALIS Recordings〉, plus records on JOY ORBISON's 〈HINGE FINGER〉 and collaborations with HODGE — and PÄR GRINDVIK, a key figure in the Swedish underground and head of 〈Stockholm LTD〉. Like the first volume, which vanished from the market instantly, this is a one-sided press comprising two tracks: a kickless sonic experiment and a killer dancefloor cut. Relentlessly agitating odd-meter breakbeats give way to brutal kicks from the midpoint on in this dystopian, futuristic techno. The low-frequency rumble is insane too!
