From 〈OURTIME MUSIC〉, the Salford-based label that has been a trusted, in-the-know UK electro/techno imprint since its founding in 2002, comes a new EP by one of its roster artists, "STARK"! Keep an ear on "BALANCE" (sample1), a nearly 15-minute minimal deep electro cut that gradually layers synthesizer melodies and arpeggios into a cosmic soundscape.

On "BALANCE" (sample1), a repeating synthesizer sequence and a slightly brisk BPM beat form the backbone as riffs are carefully piled on one after another, and the epic scope achieved by stretching the track across the whole of the A-side really hits home. Also on board: "Spatial Density Waves," which slips a light breakbeat beneath noisy modular tones that almost sound like human moans, followed by the beatless electronics of "Internal Voyage" (sample2). And the post-DREXCIYA E-funk of "Salford Skyline" (sample3) is a good one too. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
