Greg Wilson retired from DJing in 1984 and began producing 〈Street Sounds〉' electro/hip-hop compilation series "Street Sounds UK Electro." A1. XXXO (sample1), a track by his alias project "Equip," was slated for inclusion on that comp, but its polished electro sound didn't suit the sensibilities of the time and it was passed over... It finally surfaced in 2006 on a one-sided 12-inch, and this piece of Italo disco—cheap-sounding yet aggressive and emotional electro that feels both nostalgic and fresh—now commands high prices and enjoys serious acclaim. Now it returns, remastered by 〈RUNNING BACK〉! Also included are the ferocious electro breakbeat cuts ICA Beats Pt. 1 (Sample2) and ICA Beats Pt 21 (Sample3), originally produced as backing tracks for a UK electro live show in August '84 and, thanks to Gerd Janson's edits, finally seeing their first release after some 20 years!
