Dutch maverick De Ambassade returns as Ambassade with a new 12-inch on Optimo Music. "YOUNG BIRFS" (sample1) is dark synthesizer minimal-wave alternative disco steeped in leftfield experimental atmosphere, inspired by an old English traditional folk song said to date from the early 1900s.

Two tracks in all, including the B-side "PALETTE" (sample2), a collaboration with Amsterdam-based artist Naama Freedman: at 120 BPM, amid a hushed, tense atmosphere, non-beat sequences and a roughly 120 BPM pulse surface and vanish, building repeatedly to dramatic heights.
