Two landmark albums of esoteric soundscapes, originally issued on All Saints by Djivan Gasparyan — the master of the duduk, the woodwind instrument traditional to Armenia, a small nation lying between the Middle East, Western Europe and Eurasian Russia — are reissued on vinyl LP simultaneously. This one is "Moon Shines At Night," his second album, recorded in 1993, ten years after his debut "I Will Not Be Sad In This World."

"Moon Shines At Night" — 10 tracks of meditative ambient beauty, crafted with care in 1993 alongside Michael Brook, the sound-coordinating artisan who defined the All Saints label. The download card includes the complete album plus a bonus track: Machinefabriek's rework of the title tune. A world that can't quite be called Middle Eastern, North African, Eurasian or European, rounded out with a couple of vocal pieces — a faintly sorrowful resonance and melancholy that sinks into the heart alongside the drones. Check the tracklist as well. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
