A double-name session between Philippe Maté — a young talent who made his mark through his work in BYG's Acting Trio, as a studio sideman at Saravah, on Brigitte Fontaine's classics and in collaboration with Daniel Vallancien — and Jef Gilson, the legend of cutting-edge French jazz, then busy with Malagasy. The session brings together musicians from Gilson's orbit, including bassist Didier Levallet, drummer Jean-Claude Pourtier, keyboardist Pierre Moret and alto saxophonist Michel Portal.
