Repress! The new album from LA TIMPA, an avant-garde pop artist originally from Nigeria and now based in London, who made a striking impression with her contribution to SPACE AFRIKA’s “Honest Labor”—the second release from RABIT’s *HALCYON VEIL*! Irregular, broken loops, lo-fi soundscapes, and shadowed mixing. A one-of-a-kind sound that draws you into its world before you can even grasp the music itself.
Track List

From the label 〈O___o?〉—whose hit by contemporary R&B producer DAWUNA is still fresh in our memories—comes their second release in three years! Tracks include “City hell cast in fire (Miracle),” which subjects country music to relentless loops, and “Treatment,” which unsettles the mind with detuned strings and falsetto vocals. Drawing from both the 1980s NYC no wave scene and the 1990s indie rock movement, the artist incorporates these influences through the lens of British avant-garde electronic music, channelling them into a dreamy pop sound. While DEAN BLUNT is often cited as a point of comparison, this music is slightly more rhythmic and melodic, with a lo-fi edge—and ultimately, uniquely its own. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
