Believe it or not, a delightful comeback track from the multi-talented SAMI—who also works as a journalist—has dropped on 〈1432 R〉, a label he helps run! “Aydin’s Theme” (sample 1) is driven by emotional half-step progressions and repetitive synths that shift keys. Tracks like “Way Up” (sample 2)—which adds a cinematic dimension through rave synths, heavy drums, and SAMI’s own free-form flute layers—are easy to appreciate. This is dance music that defies easy categorization as either deep house or rave, prioritizing atmosphere over rave ecstasy. A wonderful release that feels like the culmination of two years of work!
