Veteran UK house producer Chris Simmonds' 1992 release "Active X-Trax EP" — a hidden gem of high-speed breakbeat rave techno — finally gets a 12-inch vinyl reissue after 32 years!!! Though it's a 32-year-old record, it could easily pass for a brand-new bass techno release; the sense of style here simply refuses to sound dated.

Includes four tracks: A1 "We've Got Power" (sample1), techno beats at 135 BPM bursting with hip-house rave energy and ferocious high-speed breakbeat waves; A2 "Basic Bassis" (sample2) at 138 BPM; B1 "This Is The Night" (sample2), raw breakbeat underground house around 124 BPM; and B2 "I Need You" (sample3), soulful deep house at 123 BPM where time and space subtly bend.
