URBANATRIBU is the project of MASSIMILIANO BOCCHIO, an electronic musician active since the '90s who takes a broad-minded approach to dance music, spanning electro-funk, alternative, breakbeat, trance and downtempo. This is dance music built around a worldview drawn from traditional culture — John Carpenter films, British ghost stories and the like. The latest release from 〈DUALISMO SOUND〉, the label behind reissues of rare Italo music!

An analog EP culled from "Mondotondo," the CD album the duo released in 1996. "Nina De Oro" (sample1), a BPM 96 alternative downtempo cut brimming with leftfield trip vibes, is a killer track with real punch. "Bigfoot Orchestra" (sample2) runs at BPM 131, crossing rave elements with a wide-ranging musicality, while the electro cut "Nazca Luna" (sample3), which shifts from BPM 80 up to BPM 160 in the outro, is equally inventive.
