A sharp turn from the previous, positive record 'Free Time,' on which Jerry Paper came out as non-binary and expressed the freedom surrounding their identity, this pop album is wrapped in trippy, bubble-like sonic textures, said to have been born when Paper simply gave in to unrestrained, free-spirited play. The gap between that sound and the lyrics, which take on serious themes like melancholy, anxiety, and self-analysis, works beautifully.
