A great PPU discovery: JAHARI, the soul/funk band led by DWIGHT SYKES, the obscure synth artist from Kalamazoo, Michigan. From their ultra-rare, still-unreissued debut album "You That I Need" ('87) comes the spacey lo-fi funk cut "Rock Steady," now on 7-inch!

On the flip is "One Night Stand," a soul ballad that appeared on the collection of their demo recordings unearthed and released by PPU in 2017. This version isn't the demo, though — it's a properly recorded session take cut for the debut album and left behind as a candidate for inclusion. Its first-ever physical release.
