Trance, electronica and ambient converge on this Yugoslav techno gem, where hard-edged tracks are laced with a mysterious, dreamlike flavor! EQV was formed to recreate the legendary '80s avant-rock band EKATARINA VELIKA (EKV) in techno form, and four carefully selected tracks from their only CD-format album are now pressed to 12-inch.
The latest work from 〈SUNNY CRYPT〉, the label behind the reissue of pioneering French IDM unit "LES DUPONT"! A 12-inch analog cut from "Ti Si Sav Moj Bol" (1995), the album by EQV, the electronic group featuring MARGITA STEFANOVIĆ of Yugoslav rock act EKATARINA VELIKA (formerly KATARINA II). With cuts like the heavy downtempo "Farewell" (sample2), showered in mysterious bells, this is aesthete electronic dance music born from the fusion of backgrounds ranging from mod to computer music.
