A welcome 7-inch reissue of "Hear My Song" (sample1), the 1968 debut single by the Reggie Saddler Combo, led by Reggie Saddler — who would later, as the Reggie Saddler Revue, leave behind deep funk killers like "Raggedy Bag" — a heart-tugging, soulful, feel-good Northern soul classic.
After having re-released Reggie Saddler Revue's deepfunk classic "Raggedy Bag" (backed with the equally great "Love Is Just Like A Baseball Game") some time ago we are extremely proud to present their debut 45 from 1968. A true Northern Soul classic, finally available on a fantastic-sounding 45 RPM single re-issue!
The bittersweet, soulful instrumental B-side "For The Love Of Hunice" (sample2) is nice too. Released on Alarm, a sublabel of the renowned German soul imprint Tramp Records. The fantastic sound quality from the remastering is another treat. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
