Enter STANISLAV GRISHCHUK aka DJ 1985, a Soviet-born analog maniac now living in exile in Belgrade. These electronic dance jams grow out of his reverence for vintage analog gear, above all the ROLAND TB-303. Kicking off with "We Trippin'" (sample1), electro-breaks pairing screwed breaks with sweet, cinematic 303 lines, and moving on to the weightless ambient house of "Dolphins & Sirens" (sample2), he mines machine sound with plenty of individual ideas.
