Hair & Treasure is an on-again, off-again noise-collage unit made up of Gonçalo F Cardoso — head of Lisbon, Portugal's imaginary-jungle den of iniquity 〈Discrepant〉 — and Alex Jones of Angela Valid. Somewhere along the way a certain Phil Laney aka Kenny Hosepipe started dropping in from time to time, and now, still fully deranged, they slide sideways out of their home base 〈Sucata Tapes〉 and onto the mothership 〈Discrepant〉! Their first-ever vinyl release as a solo project.

In their own words: "a foul-smelling spread oozing out of Hair & Treasure's buttery catacombs." Hard to say exactly what that means, but the result is eleven tracks' worth of quagmire. Dragging along the style of the 2000s American Midwest noise scene, with a bleak beauty reminiscent of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, their aesthetic of sublimating junked hardware and the sheer arrogance of sound into music is alive and well. Synthscapes, field recordings, voices from nowhere in particular, and subliminal pulses surge in like a muddy torrent — a thoroughly fermented smear of sound. "Vulgarity is the flower of this world" — Norifumi Suzuki. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
