The long-awaited new release from Dislog — the electronic dub duo of Finnish producer Samuel van Dijk (a favorite here at the shop) and live artist Rasmus Hedlund — is their first live recording. It's also the inaugural release on their newly founded label, Dialog Sound.

Experimental dub techno duo Dialog present their first officially released live recording. Captured at the intimate French festival Pe:rsona, from the team behind the Positive Education events, the recording captures Samuel van Dijk (VC-118A) and Rasmus Hedlund exploring mechanical rhythmic impulses and organic tones and textures—malleable metallic and elemental forms passing through chasms of processing and shrouded in womb-like melancholic hum.
Across two sides of immersive, head-nodding sonics, Dialog take the principles of dub techno into forward-thinking territory with a distinctly tactile approach to sound design—a mind-melting listen for casual chillers and committed voyagers alike.

Their previous singles "DOT1," "DOT2," and "DOT3" were each superb, dope explorations of a Rastafarian cosmos rendered in atmospheric dub techno futurism, and this first live recording is likewise deeply dope and experimental. Pushing beyond dub techno into razor-sharp, solid territory, it's a black-hole experimental dubwise universe, writhing and utterly immersive, with a sound design that conveys three-dimensional space and a distinctly tactile approach.
