Featuring the artist himself on bass, synth, guitar, and drums, this four-piece band focuses on jazz-based interplay, incorporating hip-hop sampling, beatmaking techniques, and the dark, gritty style of Black music in psychedelic sessions that span jazz house, deep house, crossover, beatdown, and reggae & dub. There are plenty of thrilling moments in the interplay that will give you goosebumps, and the excitement unique to a live session is fantastic. The bass interplay—which must have been heavily influenced by Jaco Pastorius—is also truly impressive. Great. I highly recommend it.
