Describing herself as a "multidisciplinary propagandist, contemporary anti-authoritarian Arab, gendered working class, God-fearing atheist," and her work as "anti-format, audio propaganda, anti-lifestyle immersive sound,"
this album explores how the spirit survives amid daily struggle. Featuring a host of collaborators including Armand Hammer, Bbymutha, SHA RAY, Moor Mother, Dakn, August Fanon, El Kontessa, Kay Drizz, Aquiles Navarro and Abdul Hakim Bilal, its 14 tracks weave together Jersey club, thrash metal, punk, noise, the Central Asian and Middle Eastern percussion traditions of her own roots, darbuka rhythms, synthesizers, TR-808, churning sub-bass low end and gritty, noisy production into a dizzyingly original sound. Recommended for Kim Gordon fans too. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
