An intimate correspondence in sound, created remotely by two artists: multi-instrumentalist Claire Rousay — known for releases on the esteemed Thrill Jockey and Shelter Press labels and for the "emo ambient" she champions, as well as for intriguing approaches like working under the male name Dane Rousay — and fellow Texan experimental artist Gretchen Korsmo, also known for Wind Tide, her project with Andrew Weathers. Out on the small Slovakian DIY label Mappa.
Track List

Drawing richly on personal field recordings captured over the past five years in Santa Fe, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Kamakura and elsewhere (the voice of a baseball announcer, a friend eating a juicy peach), the record's airy piano, layered vocals, faded-Polaroid melodies and fragmentary everyday noise embody the "emo" the pair take as their guiding principle. Longtime friends, they created this effortlessly: a small symphony that fills in a blank map, little by little. A serene state of mind. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
