Drawing richly on personal field recordings captured over the past five years in Santa Fe, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Kamakura and elsewhere (the voice of a baseball announcer, a friend eating a juicy peach), the record's airy piano, layered vocals, faded-Polaroid melodies and fragmentary everyday noise embody the "emo" the pair take as their guiding principle.
