With past releases like reissues of degraded cassette tapes made by experimenters of the mind, LIGHT SOUNDS DARK has long been at the forefront of digging up hardcore post-punk / no wave material, and they don't let the obsessives down this time either. Once again, they've assembled rare recordings that are long out of print — and in some cases may never have officially been released at all. From guitar pop where electric guitars growl beneath mysterious girl vocals, to electronics landing right between krautrock and minimal wave, to tape-loop-style noise.
