Tommaso Cappellato, a jazz drummer from Italy. Following his move to L.A., he released “Anti-planeting,” his first new album since 2024’s “Explorare,” which he produced with Diego Gaeta—a master keyboardist in the jazz and New Age scene—and Tony Martin, the bassist for Brainstory. This album was produced entirely by Cappellato himself, featuring drums, synthesizers, samplers, and more. It’s a blend of playful, fun electronic sounds and loopers, combined with organic grooves—pure entertainment. (Saito)

"Anti-Planeting" is a fully realized album consisting of 8 tracks that emerged from these live experiments. The foundation of this project revolves around the use of live drums and percussion samples, which were then processed through an Electroharmonix 45000 looper and a Kaoss Pad II. To enhance the sonic palette, Tommaso integrated various analog synthesizers such as the Roland Juno 60, Roland SH2000, Crumar T1/C, and Siel 720 Organ with lush solos, infectious bass lines and cosmic effects.
