The press materials include a phrase along the lines of "this isn't music, it's weather" — and indeed, this is remarkable music. Deeply niche, yet it reveals the possibilities of ambient electronic/folk (indigenous) music. Personally, it reminds me of Li Yilei's provocative work from last year, "NONAGE."
It really is a listening experience like watching sunlight break through, watching a storm, looking up at the sky and observing the weather shift; strangely there's no difficulty to it, and there's plenty of ambient-style ear-pleasing texture throughout — that sense of randomness is indeed like changeable weather.
