He started making his own beats back in middle school, and by high school was playing guitar, keyboards, bass and plenty of other instruments, building a following by posting tracks to SoundCloud and YouTube. Coming out of the pandemic era, he released GEMS IN THE CORNERSTORE, a collaborative project with J. Robb, and has drawn attention as a singer/songwriter/producer/video director with a genre-crossing style all his own. One outlet has even called him "one of the most talented singer-songwriters in the Bay Area."
This album reflects influences from Caribbean music as well as dance, ambient and leftfield electronic sounds, and the standout that grabbed us hardest is "Natural" (sample_1) — catchy, beautifully classic chords and a melody that hits and won't leave your head. Great stuff.
Twelve tracks in all, opening with "Rogue Heart" and its bouncy flow and hooks drifting lightly over breakbeats, plus the smooth falsetto jam "Circles," the jazzy ballad "Stereo Blasting," and the twilit mid-tempo "Hyundai" (sample_3).
