From 〈12TH ISLE〉, the electroacoustic/new age frontline label that has introduced talents like RAMZI and LO KINDRE. Enter MICHEL BANABILA, also a member of the visual performance collective CHI led by HANYO VAN OOSTEROM! The foundation is fantastical sound — electronics, electro-acoustics and ambient drone — that betrays the influence of classic electronic music and kosmische. Onto that he grafts voice recordings (captured on cell phones and other devices) of his poems read aloud in languages from around the world, making for a uniquely compelling collection! The sonic texture of each language and the lyrical electronics play off one another, giving rise to a sound all its own. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
