Discotecas 008, an anonymous label related to testpressing.org. no credit, but I'm writing the name because it has been revealed on official youtube, etc. RE-RE-EDIT/REWORK EP by Tom Sharkett, who was also used for LCD Soundsystem's remix. EDIT/REWORK EP by Tom Sharkett.

Tom Sharkett is the sound designer and engineer of the theater, and also a member of W. H. Lung, a band that was heavily pushed by the BBC and visited Japan. The A-SIDE has a vocal melody that sounds like a take on "Tom's Diner", dubby, electronic The house groove is perfectly good. The B-SIDE is slow house, Afro-cosmic disco. (Original Japanese text by Saito)

Tom Sharkett, fresh from smashing it with his LCD remixes, hits DIscotecas with one of those tracks that could grow and grow... I'll give you the Juno write up here as they did such a nice job (thanks guys!)...

'Certamente', is a tweak (we think) of a turn-of-the-90s Spanish record rich in delay-laden vocals, winding TB-303 acid lines, hybrid drum machine/breakbeat drums, and early house sonics. It's presented in both vocal and instrumental forms, with the latter including some of his source material's effects-laden vocalisations. Flip-side 'Pinballed' is, if anything, even better - a synth-powered slo-mo chugger in which blue-eyed soul style vocals drift above restless electronic bass, head-nodding drums, rising and falling 16-bit synth melodies and the dreamiest of chords. Whatever the source material, it's a future Balearic and slow-house classic.
