DJ Harvey’s Balearic and left-field disco masterpiece “DJ Food– Peace (Harvey’s 30 Something Mix),” featuring a rare long version of the ’70s soul masterpiece HARRIS & ORR “Spread Love”—the original of which is currently listed at 400,000 yen on Discogs—as well as soul, left-field disco, and dub classics such as GAUCHO ’s “Dance Forever,” STARS’ “Dancin’ People,” and other modern soul tracks, all the way to ’80s Afro-synth funk, Caribbean, and Belgian new wave synth funk like MAN JUMPING ’s “In The Jungle,” and Orion Agassi’s Spanish Latin electro boogie—a staple of the L.I.E.S. label—this collection is packed to the brim with surprising tracks, both old and new (though most are known as extremely rare recordings).
