Melbourne’s maverick genius Puglist—who has consistently released masterpieces on numerous renowned labels such as Modern Hypnosis, Foundation Audio, Of Paradise, and Temple Of Sound, showcasing his unique style and presence—has dropped his long-awaited debut solo album, *Found Sound*, on his own label, Ruff Kutz, and it’s fantastic! This masterpiece is the result of an introspective exploration of his “inner voice,” meticulously crafted to blend techno, dub techno, dubstep, modern dub/dancehall, ambient, and chillout into floor-filling sounds of overwhelming perfection—while also standing out as an exceptional listening experience. Celebrating the reissue! Now back in stock!
Track List

Believe it or not, C1’s “Timelines” (sample 1)—a mellow dub techno track featuring the classic “Light Years” from Calm’s 1999 album *Moonage Electric Ensemble*, by one of Japan’s leading chillout and Balearic masters—is absolutely perfect for that utopian, blissful feeling. And, as expected, there’s the mellow-mood, top-notch house track C2 “Idiom” (sample 2) with a BPM of around 108, the strictly reggae-flavored dub techno track C3 “Stand For Justice” (sample 3) at BPM 76 (152), and the ambient dancehall dub techno track C3, with a BPM of around 100, which is guided by vintage rhythm machine presets, is also incredibly original and unique—I just can’t get enough of it. And C3 “Love Is The Way w/ Another Channel Ft. Prince Morella,” a collaboration with modern dub master Another Channel, is truly wonderful.
Featuring 12 rich tracks brimming with romantic character and evolution—from overwhelming, massage-like sub-bass grooves and sparkling percussion to dynamic breaks, diverse sounds and tempos, and a sense of dub-inspired floating and trance-like ecstasy. A 2-LP set with beautiful artwork. While the price may be high, I believe this is a masterpiece album that will last a lifetime. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
