LP ---- JPY

Nearly four years after the release of *Where the Round Things Live*—an electro-acoustic/new age electro-dub masterpiece and a label landmark—the duo of LORIS S. SARID and INNIS CHONNEL is back! Combining an exotic atmosphere with a cinematic essence and early techno sounds, this album pays homage to its influences. The unique blend of sounds—including percussion sampled from a woodworking shop and digital synths—remains as distinctive as ever. Although the first pressing sold out without even a chance for a first-pressing comment, we’ve managed to restock it!

LORIS S. SARID and INNIS CHONNEL—who have also released music on the Oakland-based electronic music label CONSTELLATION TATSU—make a comeback to Glasgow’s leading synth label, 12TH ISLE, with even more refined playfulness! Featuring tracks like “Microhoof Croft Simulator,” where minimal arpeggiators layer and spiral, and the polyrhythmic percussion experiment “Volcan Snow Dogs”—while building on their previous work, which achieved cult status with its strong New Age influences, this release evolves by incorporating elements of 90s techno, trance, and futurism. Utilizing everything from hand drums to custom-made autoharp and high-tech computer music, the album paints an idyllic soundscape that breathes life into a fantasy world.
