From 45trio, the piano trio led by master keyboardist SWING-O — the flagship artist/group of Bloom Music, the new label under the Flower Records umbrella — comes a tribute to Tenorio Jr., the genius pianist who tragically died young, leaving behind only "Embalo" (1964), the eternal jazz-samba/bossa-jazz classic. Their latest 7-inch single "Tenorio/Nebulosa," released on Bloom Music at the end of 2025 and sold out instantly, now gets a 7-inch release on UK Jazz Room with the A and B sides flipped as "Nebulosa/Tenorio." What great news!!

Side A is "Nebulosa" (sample1), a cover of the standout track from "Embalo" — Tenorio Jr.'s sole album, released in 1964 and still spoken of today as a monument of piano jazz — breathed with new life through delicate touch, deep playing and arrangement, delivered in 45trio's own beautifully grooving, feel-good approach, with a bassline entering in the latter half that's sure to hit home with hip-hop fans. Paired with it is "#Tenorio" (sample1), an original number crafted as an homage to Tenorio Jr.'s work, where a light, nimble rhythm and sophisticated chord work intertwine into a fusion of jazz and samba, ringing out with a swinging groove that carries a thoroughly contemporary air.
