For this album, they deliberately adopted a lo-fi approach, recording with only a minimal number of microphones and a Tascam 122MKⅡ stereo tape recorder. Inspired by Memphis dirty rap, trap, drill, hip-hop beatmaking, and loops, True to Błoto’s signature style, the album unfolds a dizzying, imaginary world of 11 tracks—featuring uniquely handcrafted beats rooted in an avant-garde, psychedelic experimental spirit that’s at once distorted, unsettling, and strangely comforting, drawing from Memphis dirty rap, trap, drill, hip-hop beatmaking, and loops—a world of breakbeats, downtempo, and jazz-funk repetition.
