Format

12inch ---- JPY

This is the third release from Bar Part Time, the best wine bar/club in San Francisco! As usual, it's a quick-fire release with a sense of humor and looseness! This is a 4-track 12" by Detroit producer Ben Christensen. The local house scene on the West Coast!

If Haruomi Hosono had grown up in Detroit and listened to The Electrifying Mojo, this is what he would have sounded like. A blast like sunlight. Press play and you'll get a vitamin D boost with Here Come The Lions (sample 1), a groovy, Galaxy II Galaxy-inspired, pitch-driven vocal chop and 808 claps galore on Music Remembers, a Dam-Funk If you liked the Garrett project, you'll love this one. Introspective downtempo synths; Whose Water (sample2). A propulsive cosmic track that opens up the dance floor at once.
"Psychedelic Macarena" and New Sun (sample3) explode here.

And based on the unique commentary text by Jeremy, owner of Bar Part Time, this is the current house of the US West Coast California, with its humor, looseness, and good sense of distance from the European techno scene. It's also a house house with a nice distance from the European techno scene, and also an alternative genealogy of west coast house. All the tracks are floor worthy and great for listening!
