PANORAM is the main project of RAFFAELE MARTIRANI, a synth-sound maverick who has been producing for over a decade under a range of aliases. This masterwork, which pushes the familiar composed timbre to its limits in an attempt to create an unknown kind of piano music, has arrived. Drawing on everything from musique concrète to modern minimalism and loop technique, the focus stays on the uncanny. Ghostly overtones, resonances emerging one after another, and even the tempo and the way pieces end — despite structures and compositions that are never complex, it reaches territory no one has managed to express before.
