PS7, the label of P SOL who releases from DIGGIN' DEEPER and FKR, and whose past works have been cult hits in our store, has released a new album from YASIIN BEY, aka MOS DEF, tied to his 1999 debut "Black on Both Sides" as the label design indicates. Based on the ROY AYERS-produced mellow disco masterpiece ETHEL BEATTY's "I Know You Care," the A-side is a smooth collage of the hip-hop classic "Ms. Fat Booty. The flip also features the classic "Mr. Nigga (featuring Q-Tip)" sampled by GIL SCOTT-HERON "A Legend In His Own Mind. The ability to smoothly insert new great material without killing the original, which is a treasure trove of sampling to begin with, is again impressive. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
