Julian Fairshar has been deeply involved in Brixton’s sound system culture since childhood, and for many years ran Fairshare Unity Sound, which explored more experimental styles within the UK dub scene. As a true Rastafarian with unwavering conviction and a warm heart, he toured energetically throughout Europe and was one of the first to bring sound systems to the Soviet Union.
Furthermore, as a unique vocalist, he delivered lyrics—along with his socially conscious messages—on numerous riddims using his distinctive singing style and “finger-flicking” vocal technique.
This release features two of his legendary sound system-killing ridims from his digidub era, along with their dub versions.
