Track List

Inspired by "brutalist architecture," a style of architecture popular in the 1950s and 1970s characterized by its bold and massive design using bare concrete, the album is a sublimation of its rugged presence in sound. The rough presence is sublimated into sound. The concrete form is portrayed with high bass pressure, and spatiality is depicted with deep reverberations and analog textures. The beat of "Ghost Notes" (sample 1) is tricky with its depth and layered textures, and the abstract remix by Glaswegian techno artist ALEX SMOKE, known for his work with "SOMA" and "R&S," is so dramatic that it is hard to grasp the rhythm. Skeletal Movements," with its dynamic beatwork, is a brilliant broken-beat arrangement by Glasgow's key figure MOTHER, who abstracts it with a glitchy arrangement while massively reinforcing the kick.
