The Red Hot Organization, which began in 1990 as an HIV/AIDS relief effort, continues as a “nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting diversity by fostering equal access to healthcare through pop culture.” Among the Red Hot series, which has featured various artists and musical themes, we have added *Red Hot & Ra: “Solar – Sun Ra in Brasil”* to our catalog—a work produced in 2023 as one of a three-part tribute to Sun Ra. Although not widely known in Japan, this album was supervised by Maestro XUXA LEVY, who serves as a music and artistic director for theater and film productions in Brazil. It features eight tracks, including performances by Meshell Ndegeocello and the Brazilian avant-garde jazz-rock band Metá Metá (an homage to Rocket Number Nine). (Original Japanese text by Saito)
