Featuring 14 tracks by 14 artists, this collection is brimming with the nostalgia and melancholy of the unique world of Greek music—from exhilarating improvisations based on the pentatonic scale characteristic of Mediterranean Greek music and rhythms in irregular time signatures, to songs ranging from heart-wrenching laments to joyous celebratory hymns.
