Side A, “Chasing Light,” runs at 118 BPM with tropical new wave disco & boogie, a cheap-sounding rhythm machine, fusion-style guitar, a soulful/funky bassline, and spacey synths—all with a subtle dub-inspired groove. (sample1); Side B’s “Under Pressure” (sample2)—at 125 BPM, with a slightly raised pitch—is a robotic, mutant, left-field disco-funk track that’s also cool in a cheesy way. I love it.
