Modern house/electro mainstay KALAHARI OYSTER CULT's latest release from offshoot MINERAL CUTS, which focuses on rare techno reissues. Both sides are dangerous groovers that keep the tension low in the center of gravity. Recommended!
This is a coupling of rare masterpieces by ADAM TENENBAUM, a producer who mainly released his works on GRAYHOUND RECORDINGS, a legendary label on the west coast of the U.S. run by DJ GARTH. The A-side is "Mercurial Drums" (sample 1) from the first single "The Orange EP" released under the name of his main project NECTAR, a deep-tech production with a heavy bass that snakes mysteriously along the ground, and loud percussion echoes on the toe-match FX. The flip is "The Nature Of Things" (sample 2), 2001's "The Nature Of Things" by SUCCULENT, a unit with SEAN KAMANO, another viscous, low-flying groove. Both have a thick bass that you can't escape if caught.
