A slow-tempo techno/cosmic techno masterpiece inspired by the cinematic classic *A Trip to the Moon* (1902), directed by Georges Méliès, which depicts a journey to the moon! Detroit-based artist REBECCA GOLDBERG has reinterpreted the film’s worldview to create this expanded original soundtrack. Using custom-made foley effects and other elements, she presents a minimalist electronic soundscape.

Composed in 2016 as an original soundtrack that pays homage to Méliès’ fantastical and theatrical vision while adding a unique interpretation rooted in Detroit’s cutting-edge electronic music scene, this track—previously performed live at venues such as “Silencio,” the club founded by David Lynch—is finally being released on physical media! Featuring tracks like the slow techno “A Trip To The Moon” (sample 1), with its minimal, looping, spacey synths, and “Proposition” (sample 2), an electronic track that soars into space with high-pitched, layered synth chains "Proposition" (sample 2)—which soars into space with high-pitched layered synth chains—the album skillfully incorporates foley (sound effects) to introduce fresh perspectives without compromising the film’s atmosphere. The cover art is faithful to the original, and this is a limited-edition pressing! (Original Japanese text by Akie)
