Out today! ANJI’s long-awaited first full-length album is released on his independent label, 〈BLIND BEATS SOUND〉! A pure warmth permeates everything from the sound and melodies to the title itself. While evoking genres like lounge, exotpop, and downtempo, the music resonates in a completely different space—a soft, airy sound. Produced by COMPUMA, with mixing and mastering by hacchi. Okinawan rapper RITTO also appears as a guest artist.

Born in 2012, currently living in Shiga Prefecture. A third-year middle school student at a school for the blind. ANJI, who lives in Shiga Prefecture, has released her debut album “Watashi no Suki” today—an album that captures the sounds, emotions, and scenery born from her daily life spent alongside “people, the city, and nature” on the shores of Lake Biwa! From the floating, ambient electronic intro to “Mori” (Forest)—which uses a spacious downtempo beat as its foundation to paint dreamlike melodies with a synthesizer—and “Afro,” which captures the refreshing feel of the seaside through reggaeton, to “A Walk on a Rainy Day,” which features vocals by rapper RITTO—she freely traverses a wide range of genres with her highly refined sensibility. Her unique soundscapes and spoken-word elements blend seamlessly into the space, as if she were painting the very feelings she experienced. Listening to it feels like peeking into her sketchbook. Of course, the album also includes “REGGAE UFO,” which was released as a 7-inch single! This is an album you’ll want to savor in its entirety, right down to the artwork he created himself.
