From 〈ALT DUB〉—the label run by San Francisco-based prodigy FEDERSEN, whose work appears on labels such as 〈LEMPUYANG〉, 〈STATELY〉, and 〈KORIDOR〉, and which has released collaborations with CV313, another key figure in dub techno! “Mareas Tranquilas” (sample 1) is a deep dub techno track where clicks and high-frequency hi-hats bounce rhythmically, with the synthesizer echoing in sync. Also featured is “Sombras de Ibiza” (sample 2), which gains a sense of dynamism from a melodic, bouncy bassline and rhythmic echo effects.
