FAVA LUVA—known for their collaborations with DR PROFESSOR and their mysterious edits—has dropped a new 7-inch from 〈UN OWN〉! “Roze” (sample 1) takes ROSE ROYCE’s “Do Your Dance”—a track beloved for its nearly 9-minute-long groove and rich arrangement, often used as re-edit source material—and slows it down just enough while heavily reinforcing the groove. This double-sided release also features “Fishy” (sample 2), a reworking of Ramsey Lewis’s jazz-funk masterpiece “Fish Bite”—known for its comfortably sustained 16-beat groove—that transforms it into a similarly rich and resilient sound!
