A special collaborative album by four masters of contemporary jazz. Released in 2025, this album features jazz guitarist Jakob Bro—who has recorded numerous albums for ECM and established his own unique style in Europe—joined by Wadada Leo Smith, Marilyn Crispell, and Andrew Cyrille. We’ve managed to secure a limited number of copies from the second pressing. Be sure to check this out, along with his collaboration with Midori Takada.

A recording of an improvisational session featuring Wadada Leo Smith, a Rastafarian trumpeter and legend of the free jazz scene; pianist Marilyn Crispell, a core member of the Anthony Braxton Quartet; drummer Andrew Cyrille, who was a longtime member of Cecil Taylor’s group; and guitarist Jakob Bro. Listeners can hear the interplay of the sharply honed individualities of these four masters who manipulate sound and silence. Their performances—each transforming even stillness into music—intersect to create six unpredictable tracks that seem to grow spontaneously on the spot, as if cherishing every single note.
